Frank Buchman used the term ‘remaking the world’ when describing his work in building a global society grounded in sound moral and spiritual principles. His ideas struck a chord with people eager to stop the cycles of hatred that had launched two World Wars. This interview with Dr Boobbyer will explore what we can learn from his approach as we seek to respond to the violence, disillusionment and sense of fragmentation so characteristic of the world today.

Philip Boobbyer

Dr Philip Boobbyer, recently retired from the University of Kent, where he was a Reader in History. He joined Kent in 1995 after doing degrees at Cambridge, Georgetown and London Universities. He is the author of The Spiritual Vision of Frank Buchman (2013). He has also served on the Board of Trustees of Initiatives of Change in the UK, including as Chair during the years 2012-2020.
