Supporting business leaders in achieving social responsibility.

Over the past 30 years, weather and climate-related losses accounted for a total of EUR 419.1 billion. -  SDG 13 Climate Action

The Business & Economy Program (ICBE) believes business can play a key role in building a world in which communities and corporations will exist in harmony. In its own interest as in the interests of the communities it serves, business can in particular have a huge impact by living, demonstrating and promoting all facets of sustainability.

How the Business & Economy Program Works

We support business professionals through the exchange of ideas and experiences.

ICBE provides safe spaces to explore the different implications of sustainability in business as well as in personal life.

One older white male leads discussion with three younger males and one females of various ethnicities
We encourage ethical aims and values-based leadership.

Reflection on the values and practices that enable healthy leadership, increases resilience and contributes to sustainability is a part of our approach.

We inspire participants to take effective action.

Problems will not be solved just by discussing them, but hearing the experience of others can open new avenues for action.

LEARN MORE ABOUT the Business & Economy Program

When motivated by ethics and focused on cooperation, not competition, business leaders can harness the power of the economy to make the world sustainable and equitable.

When people in business who care about humanity interact in free and deep dialogue, they produce a new energy and inspire the corporate world to engage with its stakeholders and actively contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

ICBE offers a platform to amplify voices carrying hope. Its regular global online dialogues tackle one key aspect of sustainability for businesses. These dialogues include open sharing of ideas and experiences between participants, usually centered around a keynote presentation. Each dialogue lasts 90 minutes, and is held in English.

We also encourage local groups of people involved in business to organize their own dialogues. The idea is to bring people together, in their own language, so that they can discuss situations in their local economy and take action.

A Dialogue on the Meaning of Sustainability

This is a series of interactive international seminars exploring different implications of sustainability for business. Each seminar features keynote speakers, open debate, and opportunity for exchange in small groups. Participate in an informative exchange of ideas for the purpose of inspired action!
