IofC Hub - Celebration of Initiatives

The IofC online Hub is in full swing, with over 400 registered participants taking part in workshops and presentations. Every day is full of storytelling, artistic events, trainings, iListen and discussion on the big questions facing IofC. Deeply moving experiences have been shared, strategies are developing, and the Hub is bringing our global fellowship together in a way that opens up tremendous possibilities for the future.

Registration is still open! That will give you access to the Hub website, full of fascinating information, and to the programme of events, which you are welcome to join.

Next Wednesday, 29 July the Celebration of IofC Initiatives will feature 35 initiatives that span the globe. Hub participants can find flyers, videos and other information about these exciting endevours on the Hub Site. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Creative Leadership

Creative Leadership conference embarks from the belief that in order to see change we must first start with ourselves. This conference offers the space to listen to stories of impact, to learn tools from international changemakers, to have conversation and dialogue with people from all over the world, and in the heart of it all, is the space for reflection and inner development.

Chinese Living Library

(presenter: Nandor Lim)

The stories you'll hear are from people representing the Chinese community in the various countries in the Asia Pacific region; all of whom are part of IofC programs reaching out to the Chinese communities, in the Chinese language, in their countries as well as mainland China. Each speaker sharing their story is a living 'book’, as they have consciously enabled changes in family life, social harmony and work ethics.

Children's Rights in Action

Child rights in Action (CRIA) is an experiential platform for children and adults to work together in order to advocate for the rights of the child, in order to create a more just, sustainable and equitable society. It addresses and empowers children to stand up against child abuse, mistreatments, inequalities and lack of participation.

Creators of Peace

An international women’s initiative for women to engage in the creation of peace at every level of society, share responsibility for their part in conflict and in its resolution, build networks of forgiveness and friendship across racial and social divides and create opportunities for healing ourselves, our relationships and our communities.

Education Today Society Tomorrow

A programme developed in order to bring about positive changes in the way an individual thinks, learns and interacts, leading to a holistic improvement in the educational scenario in India.

Farmers Dialogue

Farmers Dialogue is a fully IofC initiative targeting the farmers and agricultural issues. It aims at demonstrating the link between the personal change and commitment on one side and the rural and agricultural development on the other.

Foundations for Freedom

Foundations for Freedom is an international NGO registered in Ukraine. It was initiated in 1993 as a programme of Initiatives of Change (IofC) in the UK and works in Eastern Europe. The organisation is a part of the IofC family, was officially registered in Ukraine in 2009.

For a New World

'For a new world' is a Web platform in preparation for public launching round the end of 2020. It is already something of a Wikipedia of Initiatives of Change, Moral Re-Armament, the Oxford Group, Frank Buchman, all the books, plays, films that the movement has produced over the years. A one-stop shop for anything about the amazingly rich history of which we are part. Andrew Stallybrass is one of the international team on three continents who are working on this massive project. He will give an introduction to the platform and its content.

Global Alumni International Network

A space for alumni of Caux Scholars Programs, the Community, Trustbuilding Fellowship programme and the Narrative Change Collaborative programme for sharing, inspiration and drive of CSP to spread beyond the programs into an online and off-line community of dedicated changemakers.

Grampari - India

The presentation covers a very brief overview of what Grampari has done in the last year. We want to emphasis the focus on spirituality leading and transforming rural development and how quiet time in the villages has achieved that. Also want to highlight the role quiet time has played in de-escalating conflict during these anxiety ridden times.

Healing Garden Medziphema Nagaland

Our vision is to transform Nagaland into a society that protects, respects and connects with the natural world and its cultural heritage, so that every Naga is able to live a fulfilling life. It is to create a sustainable community garden for healing the wounds of wars, particularly for the villagers, to bring about a culture of equality, dignity and justice in Nagaland.

We began hosting daily times of quiet reflection and inspired sharing, led by various members across our network, on 7 April 2020. This personal and group experience is part of our unique approach and we consider it a tool for creating lasting change. During these 60-minute sessions, all are invited to reflect on their lives and seek inspiration, as well as connection.

International Trustbuilding Programme

The Trustbuilding Program (TBP) develops and empowers local IofC teams and communities to overcome divisions, and to build social cohesion based on the transformation of individuals. Join us to learn how to establish an international program and how we are building trust around the world.

IofC Indonesia

Meet the young leaders from Indonesia making change in multiple domains of life. Through the personal experience of change starts with me the youth workers in IofC Indonesia have reached out into community. IofC Indonesia is run and managed by young leaders with a growing network of new members.

Oui Act

(presenter: Christian Demesy, French and English)

La jeunesse française vivant dans les banlieues, notamment celle issue de familles d’immigrés, est en rupture avec la société française et ses institutions comme la police ou l’école. Le projet OUI ACT a pour ambition de réconcilier cette jeunesse avec son environnement et la société française qu’elle  juge trop différente d’elle.

French young people living in "banlieues", particularly the ones of immigrant background, are at odds with French society and its institutions, like the police or school. Oui Act wants to reconcile this youth with its environment and with French society which they believe is very different from them.

School for Changemakers

School for Changemakers is IofC-UK’s flagship leadership initiative for young people interested in exploring the personal, professional, social and spiritual dimensions of change.  Now in its tenth successive year, the programme continues both in the UK, and for a global audience in Panchgani, India, as a partnership with dear friends at Asia Plateau.
